Appearing now, on your favorite local podcast, some of my impressions of last weekend’s YearlyKos gathering in Las Vegas.  The YearlyKos reports constitute the first segment of the podcast.  [note: clicking on the podcast link will result in downloading a 36.1 megabyte MP3]

Although I’m pointing to this week’s edition of PodcastingLiberally (recorded as always at the Montlake Ale House during DrinkingLiberally) primarily because of the YKos travelogues by Ellen Meserow and myself, the whole thing is more than worthy of your time.  Irrespective of my contributions, this week’s podcast is a really good program.  Along with head honcho (and newly-minted KIRO talkshow host) Goldy, the panelists were Nicholas Beaudrot of Electoral Math, Pike Place Politics blogger Will Kelley-Kamp, the (liberal) Girl Next Door aka Mollie Bradley-Martin, and the eponymous Carl Ballard of the Washington State Political Report.  The hour absolutely flew as we had a fine time discussing YearlyKos as well as the impending Dubya visit to Dave Reichert, the campaign of Peter Goldmark in WA-5, Dean Logan’s new job, the most recent Eyman failure, and much more.  Great insights sprinkled with good humor and the occasional bad word.
