From an Associated Press report displayed under the headline Senate Prepares for All-Night Talkathon this afternoon at NYTimes.com, here’s that primo jokester Tom Daschle:

If they need help filibustering themselves, we’ll be glad to pitch in.

If that doesn’t sum up the lame inanity of the stunt being pulled by Frist, Hatch, and the rest of the clowns on the Republican side of the Senate, I don’t know what would.
